The Program primarily provides study loans to underprivileged and deserving Malaysian students and strict means testing will be applied. Scholarships grants are awarded only on an exceptional basis. |

The loan amount will cover tuition fees for the full duration of the course and a fixed yearly amount for living expenses (‘COLA”). The loan amount and COLA will be disbursed on a yearly basis. |

Yes, you can choose not to take the COLA as this is optional. |

The Program provides interest-free study loans. |

Will I be required to serve a bond with the company upon graduation? |

No, the applicant will not be bonded upon completion of his studies. |

Am I required to sign any agreement with the Foundation? |

Yes, you are required to sign a Study Loan Agreement with the Foundation and your guarantor is required to sign a Guarantee Agreement with the Foundation. |

Anyone with financial means can be considered to be the guarantor except the parents of the applicant. |

If my application for a Scholarship be rejected, will my application automatically be considered for a Study Loan? Do I need to submit a fresh application for a Study Loan? |

Yes, the Board of Trustees will consider granting study loans to unsuccessful applicants for scholarships in which case you will be required to submit additional information/documentations for consideration. |

Can I change my course of study midway through the program, be it Study Loan or Scholarship Program? |

The change requires the prior written approval of the Board of Trustees. You are required to submit your request to the Foundation stating the reasons for the change. |

With the change of my course of study, will the Foundation top-up the difference in the course fees if the new course of study is more expensive than the existing one I’m receiving the study loan or scholarship? |

The Board of Trustees is not obliged to top-up the difference in the course fees but will consider each case on its own merits. You are required to submit your request to the Foundation for consideration. |

With the change of my course of study, will the Foundation recall the difference in the course fees if the new course of study is cheaper than the existing one I’m receiving the study loan or scholarship? |

If the change of courses will result in cheaper tuition fees to be incurred, the Board of Trustees will vary the loan sum foir tuition fees to cover the new tuition fees. However, the amount of COLA on a yearly basis will remain for the rest of the study period. |
